Ataf T. Khokhar
Ataf Khokhar is a founding partner at Khokhar Law Group. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Commerce (honours) from the University of Manitoba, he completed his Juris Doctor (cum laude) at St. Thomas School of Law, in Miami, Florida in 2008. He sat and was successfully admitted into the New York State Bar in 2009 where he practiced law for five years before returning to Winnipeg. Prior to his last semester of law school, he was awarded an internship at the United Nations in New York. During his time at the United Nations, he represented a non-governmental organization (Pax Romana). Upon completing his law degree, Ataf worked as an attorney in New York City with the New York State Office of the Attorney General as well as in private practice as an attorney with JPMorgan. Ataf has worked for a large and mid-sized law firm for the past eight years and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in his preferred areas of practice.
Ataf Khokhar is a commercial lawyer specializing in the areas of real estate and financial services. Ataf has represented a wide range of clients, including but not limited to the following: 1) individuals buying, refinancing and selling homes; 2) business owners in various industries; 3) builders and contractors; and 4) financial institutions.
He is an avid sports fan and has assisted the Junior Varsity Crusaders basketball coaching team in several seasons since returning to Winnipeg. He recently served on the Board of Directors for the Westminster Housing Society and currently serves as a Board of Director for the St. Paul’s High School. In his spare time, Ataf enjoys the outdoors camping with his wife Anjali and their two young children, Aaliyah (8) and Kobe (5) and playing sports including hockey, basketball and tennis.
